This policy explains what happens to information when you read Slowbranch at peacefulmind.pro. It covers the whole site, in both the English and the Chinese sections.

What the site collects by itself

Slowbranch is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no comment form, no newsletter, and no login. Nothing you type is stored, because there is nowhere to type it.

The web server that delivers the pages keeps ordinary access logs: the address requested, the time, the referring page, the browser's user-agent string, and the IP address the request came from. These logs are used to keep the site up and to see which records are being read. They are not joined to anything that identifies you by name, and they are rotated and discarded on the host's normal schedule.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site is supported by advertising and participates in Google AdSense.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. This is commonly described as interest-based or personalised advertising.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.

Slowbranch does not sell personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising outside the consent framework described above. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Exercising any of these rights

Write to [email protected]. Say what you are asking for and, if the request concerns a specific visit, roughly when it happened. Requests are answered within the period the applicable law allows, normally within thirty days. Because the site keeps no accounts, in most cases the only record that exists is an entry in a server log, and the honest answer will often be that it has already been rotated away.

Children

The site is written for adults who grow trees. It is not directed at children under thirteen, and no personal information is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has sent information, write to the address above and it will be deleted.

Retention and security

Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider's rotation allows. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. No system is perfect, and no guarantee of absolute security is made.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are dated below. Continuing to read the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
